How we score
Every resort gets two numbers out of ten. One for the stay, one for the casino floor. They are calculated from different criteria, published in full, and never averaged together.
Why two scores
Casino resorts are two businesses under one roof. A traveler who never gambles needs to know whether the rooms, pools and restaurants are worth the trip. An adult who plans to play needs to know whether the gaming floor is varied, comfortable and well regulated. A single blended score would mislead both.
So we score them separately. Each criterion is marked out of ten by our editors after research into the property, its published materials, regulator records and recent visitor reporting. The final scores are weighted sums calculated in code and rounded to one decimal place. We publish every sub-score.
A casino score is not a recommendation to gamble. It describes the quality of a gaming floor for adults who already choose to play. It does not measure, and cannot change, the house edge on any game.
Resort score criteria

| Entertainment | 15% | Arenas, showrooms, nightlife, shopping and family attractions on or next to the property. |
| Setting & access | 10% | Location, scenery, and how easy the resort is to reach by air, road or rail. |
| Service & value | 10% | Consistency of service at scale, transparency of resort fees, and what the stay delivers for its typical price. |
Casino score criteria

| High-limit & rewards | 15% | Quality of high-limit rooms and salons, and the clarity of the rewards program. We never score the size of promotions or offers. |
| Player protection & transparency | 20% | Visible responsible-gambling information, self-exclusion options, clear age and ID rules, and an identifiable regulator players can contact. |

We do not score promotions, sign-up offers, free play or comps, and we do not publish them. We do not rank casinos by “looseness,” payout claims or any suggestion that one floor gives you a better chance to win: the house edge is set by the rules of each game, which we explain in our guides.
No resort or operator pays for inclusion or influences a score. We take no bookings, no wagers and no affiliate commissions. Scores are reviewed when we learn of material changes, such as a poker room closing, a smoking policy changing or a new owner taking over.
Gambling is entertainment, never income.
Every casino game has a built-in house edge. Set a budget and a time limit before you play, never chase losses, and stop if it stops being fun. Minimum ages depend on the jurisdiction.
