A resort desk that takes the casino seriously

What we do

We review a small number of casino resorts in depth rather than a large number superficially. Our focus is on the places the big Las Vegas and Macau roundups tend to skip: tribal casino resorts in the United States, Atlantic City, the Caribbean and Africa.

Each review covers the resort as a place to stay, and separately covers the casino as a place to play: table games and their rules, poker rooms, sportsbooks where legal, bingo halls and keno lounges, high-limit areas, rewards programs, smoking policy, minimum ages, regulators and self-exclusion.

What we do not do

We do not sell hotel rooms, take bets, publish casino bonuses or promotions, or link to casino operators or betting sites. We do not accept payment, hospitality or gifts in exchange for coverage. We do not offer betting systems or tips, because no system beats the house edge.

Our readers are adults. We write about gambling because it is at the center of these resorts, and we write about it frankly, including its costs and risks.
