Responsible gambling

Play with limits, or not at all

Casino games are designed so that the house wins over time. If you choose to gamble, treat it as paid entertainment, and know where to find help.

Helplines

Simple rules that help

Decide in advance how much money and time you will spend, and stop when you reach either limit. Never gamble with money needed for bills, rent or debt repayments. Do not chase losses. Take breaks, avoid gambling when upset or after drinking, and remember that no system, pattern or “due” number can change the odds.

Warning signs

Spending more than you intended, lying about gambling, borrowing to gamble, feeling restless when trying to cut back, or gambling to escape problems are all signs that it may be time to talk to someone. Helplines are free and confidential.
